Cloud Data Engineer
About The Role
As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will design and scale cloud-native data pipelines that turn raw data into reliable intelligence. You will bring structure, quality, and performance to complex data flows, powering AI and sustainability solutions with clean, accessible, and trusted data. This role is for hands-on builders who thrive on clarity, efficiency, and impact.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and deploy robust predictive models, clustering algorithms, and NLP techniques to power intelligent automation and client solutions. • Collaborate closely with AI Engineers to integrate models into production systems, ensuring performance monitoring and adherence to MLOps best practices. • Design and lead experiments, from initial hypothesis development to statistical validation, to inform critical product decisions. • Perform exploratory data analysis (EDA), feature engineering, and advanced statistical modeling on large, complex datasets. • Create clear visualizations and compelling narratives to communicate complex model results and business recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences. • Stay current with trends in generative AI, LLM fine-tuning, and applied machine learning in a business context. • Apply ethical and responsible data science practices when building and deploying models.
Qualifications
• 3+ years of professional experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or analytics engineering. • Solid experience with a cloud-native data stack: GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub), AWS (Redshift, Glue), or Azure (Data Factory, Synapse). • Proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and pipeline development. • Expertise with data orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Prefect, or dbt). • Strong understanding of data modeling principles, data warehousing concepts, and performance tuning. • Familiarity with CI/CD workflows and Git-based versioning. • A genuine love for clean data, clean code, and solving complex data mysteries. • Bonus: Exposure to ESG data models, sustainability metrics, or regulatory frameworks.
Preferred Qualities
• Pipeline Perfectionist: Prioritize clean, bulletproof pipelines and data health. • Data Whisperer: Speak fluent SQL and translate business needs into robust data models. • Cloud-Native by Instinct: Leverage serverless services to optimize costs and ensure high availability.
Our Expectations
1. Think Big and Differently – Challenge conventions and create opportunities for growth. 2. Dare to Lead – Take ownership, act with integrity, and drive results. 3. Be Resilient and Driven – Persevere through challenges with grit and determination.
Our Mindset
• Plan Well, Build Once: Measure twice, code once. • Communicate Like an API: Be clear, structured, and consistent. • Iterate with Intention: Continuously evolve and improve.
Our Culture
• Client Focused: Build solutions that create measurable results. • Collaborative: Forge strong partnerships and share success. • Innovative: Embrace creativity, diversity, and bold new ideas.
